I was attracted by the publicity and took part a couple years ago. Quite disppointed because it wasn't so grand. What really made me angry was the HUGE difference in entry fee between locals and foreigners, even bigger than KLIM. Complained to organiser but no response. Swore never to take part again. But again signed up this year because I paid only 350baht when I was in Thailand earlier. Tip: if anyone is going, try and register at the local rate or get a local to register for you. - SeniorVet

Really? i tot the name of ING sort like Standard Charted sponsored marathon event should be grand.. Before, i consider to register after KLIM.
And u already registered & take part this year?.. hey! what yr name & email address?.. i would consider this one after the run, whether my leg can run or not.
The location... near what? songkla ? bangkok ?..
Will try seek & find a local friend while running at Padang Besar this week..
TQ for advice & be sure to left me a msg wt yr name & email ya!

Haris, you're right about ING being like Standard Chartered. ING started sponsoring this year. I think the main reason this is not a big event is because the location is at a very ulu place about 1.5hrs from Bangkok. The organisers will provide buses to and fro. Foreigners kena ketok again for the bus ride whereas locals pay only 100baht for a return ticket. My email address is Seniorvet@hotmail.com. Let me know if you're going. I'm the guy wrote you after the Penang 12-hour walk.
