Report: Kordel's Charity Walk 2011
By Aiman Cheah
Date: 12 June 2011 | Sunday | 7:00am
Venue: Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur
Distance:7km

This year, it is a non-competitive event. The competition is on fancydress with the theme of "I Love My Joints".

Along the way, lucky participants were given 'goodies'. My student was lucky enough to get a voucher sponsored by Silver Bird, RM40 voucher to visit High 5 Bread Town.
Lucky prizes were great... 20 quantum science pendants were among them.
It was a good outing for me although I was not fast enough. I think I won't be able to finish within top ten in Ipoh Starwalk on 19 June. Based on my performance, I would be doing 67 minutes in Ipoh. Only a fighting chance to be in 11-20 finishers where no medals were awarded!
The games were entertaining. Generally, the participants had a whale of a time at the event.
Looking forward to support next year. Hopefully FTAAA would be called for technical assistance to make it a competitive event.
