Report: Merdeka Run 2016

Tarikh: 31 Ogos 2016
Tempat: Tasik Darulaman, Jitra
Jarak: 10km | Men Veteran | 7th | 52.12mins

Datang bersama keluarga sehari sebelum larian. Kita orang berkongsi menginap homestay berhampiran bersama keluarga @Azuan dan @Haris.

Tasik Darulaman cukop sesuai unutk habiskan masa bersama keluarga. Tapi sayangnya pekhidmatan sewa seperti basikal dan bot kayuh tidak beroperasi pada pagi tu. Sebagai alternatif anak-anak main roller-skate keliling track tasik sejauh 2.2km sambil cikgu ligan berlari depa.

Larian 10km berjalan lancar. Cuma lewat 5-10mins. Pelepasan mengikut kategori. Penyertaan kategori open ramai sekali berbanding veteran. Jumlah peryertaan dianggar sekitar 200-300. Mungkin terdapat banyak pertembungan event larian dan basikal pada pagi ni. Maka ianya memberi ruang pada pelari rekreasi (recreational runners) seperti aku.

2 water station dah cukop memadai. Dijamu 100plus + air mineral. Aku lebih suka air mineral ketika berlari. Air manis ni.. melekat di kerongkong. Kurang selesa tera nak habiskan larian.

Laluan cantek. Trafik dikawal baik. Melalui kawasan perumahan yang kurang trafik. Mungkin masih awal pagi lagi. Berlari melalui Darulaman Golf Club - Condo 900 - Taman Tunku Intan Safinaz, Taman Tunku Sarina dan 1 loop laluan track jogging Tasik Darulaman. Jarak laluan 10.02km mengikut GPS.

Rasa aku lari dah laju dah. Tapi belom tahap meleleh ayeq hidung. Tamatkan dalam tempoh 52min dalam posisi ke 7 kategori Lelaki Veteran.

Post race meal - unlimited pisang, roti planta dan mineral. Alhamdulillah. Mencukupi untuk alas perut pagi tu.

Result: Larian ASJC Kali ke 31 2014

An official result of 31th. ASJC Run 2014. I brought the whole team. Wake-up at 3:30am and drove them to Alor Star Mall



Like last year, Jasmin and NorAin (cousin) finished 8th and 9th in 5km primary school category. Alauddin completed 10km in secondary category while I'm struggling with flu to finished 22km over 2hours.

Firstly we would like to sincerely apologize for any shortcomings faced by participating teams. Indeed it was an eye opener and a great experience for the new Committee Members and we would like to thank all of you for having provided us that moment.

We take your team's participation as a gesture of support to Persatuan Renang Amatur Kedah effort of lighting the sporting spirit amongst young children.

The vibrant swimmers with their vivacious siblings and equally exuberant parents were fascinating. It was not a day for state meet champions to steal the limelight. It was supposed to be a day for the 'champions of tomorrow' to feel the joy of being given salutations on the winner's podium today.

Dont read me wrong, its the spirit of sharing victory and not the winnings, medals or breaking records! That feeling of pride and joy of winning in true sporting spirit will drive their young hearts to greater achievements.

There will be no greater satisfaction to the committee of PRAK than being these young children's plunging board to success.
