Selangor Shines Extreme Challenge 2010

Set on the 31st July 2010, Saturday, the entire course of the challenge will cover approximately 20 to 25km through the scenic city of Shah Alam . There are 2 categories, men and women, and you are required to participate in pairs of two.

Participants will be flagged off at 8.30am from Dataran Kemerdekaan, Shah Alam and follow the directions to the slew of activities that are set up at every checkpoint.

Cycling, rowing, climbing, swimming and orienteering will be a few of the tests to challenge your mind, strength, skill and team play.

NS Mountain Climbing Challenge To Start On March 6

SEREMBAN, Feb 15 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan Mountain Climbing Challenge Circuit 2010 will start with Gunung Tampin on March 6, Gunung Datuk (Rembau) on April 10 and Gunung Angsi (Kuala Pilah) on May 8.

"The circuit, the third since 2008, will offer cash prizes to the first ten winners," State Exco member for Tourism, Unity, Culture, Heritage and Malay Customs Datuk Mohammad Razi Kail said.

The event is divided into six categories namely international open, men's open, women's open, veteran, boys and girls.

Climbers interested in signing up can contact the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board at 06-7659734 or Negeri Sembilan Youth Council at 06-7639473.

Entry forms are also available from the Rembau, Tampin and Kuala Pilah district office and Negeri Sembilan Forestry Department office.

Sirkit Cabaran Mendaki Gunung Negeri Sembilan kembali lagi untuk tahun 2009. Pertandingan kali ini masih di bawah anjuran Kerajaan Negeri Sembilan melalui Unit Penggalakan Pelancongan Negeri Sembilan (UPENS) dgn kerjasama Persatuan Mendaki dan Kegiatan Luar N. Sembilan (MENDAKI N9).

Sirkit kali ini akan menampilkan perlumbaan ke 3 buah gunung utama di NS iaitu Gunung Datuk, Gunung Tampin dan Gunung Angsi. Antara yang menarik untuk 2009 ialah ganjaran hadiah untuk pemenang akan ditingkatkan manakala laluan perlumbaan tetap menyajikan cabaran yang lebih menarik.

Penganjuran "Mountain To Mountain Challenge 2009" (M2M09) sebagai satu-satunya acara larian mendaki gunung (climbathon) yang berkonsep sirkit.

M2M09 merupakan kesinambungan acara Sirkit Kembara Negara yang telah dianjurkan oleh PKN sejak tahun 2005 yang dijenamakan semula kepada Mountain To Mountain Challenge bagi memantapkan lagi acara climbathon di semenanjung Malaysia.
